Externships

Episcopal’s McCain-Ravenel Center for Intellectual and Moral Courage connects eager students with engaging experiences in real-world professional settings through its Externship Program. Juniors and seniors work with MRC staff to determine their areas of interest and identify potential host companies and organizations for externships during the school year, and as part of Senior May.

Interested in Hosting an Externship?

We invite interested companies and organizations to host an extern from Episcopal. Your support provides these bright and ambitious students with an incredible opportunity to learn more about possible career paths as they prepare to move into the world as courageous leaders.

We hope that externships can be in person, and we are open to discussing other alternatives as necessary. Students receive academic credit for completing the externship, and therefore, the positions are typically unpaid. Episcopal covers the transportation and food expenses for students.

If you are interested in providing an Externship opportunity for our students, please email Dr. Ryan Pemberton, The William Stamps Farish Fund Director of the McCain-Ravenel Center for Intellectual and Moral Courage.
