Dr. Luis Alberto Gamboa

Biography:
Luis Alberto Gamboa grew up in Mexico and California. During his undergraduate studies, he studied in Spain, the Philippines, and China. He has also traveled extensively in Europe, Asia, North Africa, and Latin America. In fall 2023, he defended his doctoral dissertation, Muertos Made in México: Necrocapitalismo.

Before joining EHS, Luis taught IB Spanish Literature and Theory of Knowledge for nine years at the United World College in Montezuma, N.M. He later taught Spanish at St. John's School in Houston, Texas. At Episcopal High School, he teaches Spanish III and AP Spanish Literature.

Luis loves watching international films and exploring new countries.
