Biography:
Millie recently earned her M.A. in British and American Literature from Sewanee, her thesis centering on Zadie Smith's use of metafiction in her novels. In Millie's downtime, she enjoys running, hiking, traveling with friends and family, trying new restaurants, and exploring the D.C. metro area.
At Episcopal, Millie works on the Anderson dorm team, teaches 10th-grade English, and directs the Washington Curriculum Program flex blocks as the Associate Director of the McCain Ravenel Center. She also assists as a Girls Varsity Field Hockey coach.
At Davidson College, Millie majored in English, captained the varsity lacrosse team for two years, and earned National Merit Honors from the Intercollegiate Women’s Lacrosse Association. Upon graduation from Davidson, Millie taught for two years at Norfolk Academy in Virginia, and then at St. James School in Hagerstown, Md. From there, she went on to teach at Gilman School in Baltimore, where she also chaired the Honor Committee and coached field hockey, basketball, and lacrosse.
