Hadiyyah A. Abdul-Jalaal ’17

Biography:
Raised as a military dependent on Joint Base Anacostia Bolling in Washington, D.C., Hadiyyah is a 2017 Episcopal graduate. She graduated from George Mason University with a degree in government and international politics with a concentration in international relations. Hadiyyah was an undergraduate research assistant focused on Mexican-American Border relations, human trafficking, international crime, and corruption. She also earned her Master’s in Public Policy from George Mason. 

Hadiyyah returned to Episcopal as a Teaching Fellow in the Social Studies department. Now, she is a full-time teacher and a part of the faculty. Outside of the classroom, she will be an assistant coach for two seasons of athletic options. In addition, Hadiyyah is a dorm parent and freshmen co-advisor, works alongside the Activities team, is a member of the Discipline Committee, and is a senior cohort externship advisor.
