Heidi Huntley

• Social Studies Department Chair
Biography:
Heidi serves as the Social Studies Department Chair is a member of the Anderson dorm team, is an academic advisor, and works with the spring afternoon service team. EHS. She also teaches Honors Modern World History,the Advanced Global Studies: The History and Politics of Food elective, and the History of Architecture elective. 

Heidi earned an undergraduate degree in art history with a minor in architectural studies at the University of New Hampshire. While teaching full-time, she earned her M.Ed. in curriculum and instruction from Keene State College. Before joining the EHS faculty, Heidi taught at Souhegan High School in Amherst, N.H., for six years, where she became acquainted with the Coalition of Essential Schools’ philosophy. Heidi completed four professional development programs at Yale University’s MacMillan Center, which allowed her to travel to Turkey, China, UAE, Ecuador, and Morocco. She continues to travel the world during school breaks.
