Biography:As head chaplain, Betsy works with the student Vestry and chapel team on all chapel events. She also teaches Biblical Theology to sophomores and seniors and the senior elective “Rule of Life” in the spring semester. She is also the Harrison Dorm Head and assistant robotics coach.
Betsy grew up in Birmingham, Ala., and graduated from the Medill School of Journalism at Northwestern University. Full-time ministry called Betsy as she spent more time serving with middle and high school students in parish ministry at St. Columba’s Episcopal Church in D.C. and diocesan ministry as the co-chair for the Committee on Youth for the Diocese of Washington. Betsy has been elected four times to serve as a deputy to the General Convention of the Episcopal Church. She is working on her doctorate in educational leadership at Virginia Theological Seminary.
