Patrick Young

Departments and Positions:
• Admissions Officer
Patrick “Pat” Young was born and raised in the Princeton, N.J., area. His father was a Princeton Township police officer, and his mother was an Administrator at the university. He has fond memories of running around campus and eating with students in the dining halls with his older and younger brothers. Due to this early exposure to higher education, he quickly realized his passion for learning as well as athletics, and began to set lofty goals for himself. Pat grew up playing almost every sport imaginable and by the time he reached 8th grade had become a 3 sport student-athlete. After spending two years attending the Peddie School, a co-ed boarding school in New Jersey, he finished his high school years at Christchurch School, an all boys school in Virginia. There he became a 2 sport All-American and thrived from the small class sizes and structure they provided.

After graduating from Christchurch School, Pat went on to play lacrosse in college at both the University of Maryland, Baltimore County and University of Maryland, College Park before graduating in 2016. He went on to play five seasons professionally before he began his coaching and teaching career at Bishop Ireton High School. After spending five years as a PE Teacher and Lacrosse coach at a Catholic day school, Pat had the incredible opportunity to make his way back to the familiar family environment of a boarding school at Episcopal.

As an Admissions Officer, Pat enjoys meeting prospective students and their families, and advocating for the many positive resources and experiences a boarding school provides. Pat spends his free time golfing, hiking, skiing and staying active through sports. He also enjoys creative writing, old school hip-hop, slam poetry as well as spending quality time with his wife Sherelle and daughters Avery and Raegan.
