Anna Bodnar

Departments and Positions:
French & Spanish Teacher
Biography:
Originally from Pittsburgh, PA, Anna earned her Bachelor’s Degree from Westminster College (PA) and her Master’s Degree from Middlebury College’s Summer Language Program. Anna comes to EHS after spending 8 years as a teacher, dorm advisor, and swim coach at Chatham Hall, where she began her teaching career. Throughout these eight years, Anna has participated in various aspects of school life, including membership of the DEI Faculty Task Force, being a Senior Class Sponsor, and serving as a Lead Dorm Advisor. She has also participated in various school-sponsored travel programs.

For as long as she can remember, Anna has loved school and admired her teachers, hoping to be just like them. Although she did not attend a boarding school, Anna has loved being a member of a boarding school community as a faculty member. She particularly values getting to know her students and watching them grow in all facets of life. She loves being able to watch students shine in the classroom, during athletics, and in the arts.

Anna loves traveling, both with students and independently, sewing, and reading suspense novels. She also enjoys 70s music and trying new foods. She is an animal lover and has rescued two senior dogs in the past few years.

Anna is looking forward to joining the EHS community as a French and Spanish teacher.
