J. Whittelsey Morgan

Whit arrived at Episcopal in 1987 and has been actively engaged in EHS students’ lives ever since, save one year spent in France, teaching for School Year Abroad. Whit teaches English and is a member of the supervised evening study hall team. He worked for many summers in Oxford, England, teaching undergraduates for UNC’s Summer Shakespeare Program, and he enjoys sharing his obsession with EHS students and taking advantage of the local theater scene. 

Over his long tenure at EHS, Whit has coached various levels of football, basketball, baseball, golf, and squash. Currently, he coaches the boys JV squash team and assists with the boys varsity golf squad. Outside of the classroom, Whit enjoys hiking in the North Carolina mountains, watching the Nationals play baseball, or reading a good book.
