Joey Lockwood Halm

Biography:
Joey came to EHS in 1996 and joined the teaching faculty in 1998. Joey birthed and headed the instrumental music program, teaching multiple orchestra and music theory sections. In 2007, Joey received the Olsen Sabbatical to begin a Master of Science degree in professional mental health counseling at Loyola University of Maryland. Joey then spent five years with the counseling department at Georgetown Visitation School. She returned to EHS in 2014 in the counseling department.

Joey works with students to help them discover their personal goals, recognize what might hold them back, and learn ways of developing and nurturing their identities. She also supports the Health and Wellness programming, especially as it relates to health relationships.

Joey enjoys gardening, fishing, and making music with EHS students and faculty in her free time. She also travels to watch her son play baseball. Now that her daughter is engaged in her residency program, she hopes to travel to Salt Lake City.
