Biography:
Jessie attended high school at Phillips Exeter Academy. She graduated magna cum laude from Georgetown University, where she pursued a degree in history and English. After graduating from college, Jessie joined Teach for America and taught in the Hartford, Conn., public schools for two years.
Before coming to Episcopal, Jessie worked at the Cesar Chavez Public Charter Schools for Public Policy in Washington, D.C. While at Chavez, she taught world history for four years at the Capitol Hill campus and then served as the social studies curriculum specialist for the entire network of schools.
Jessie joined the EHS faculty in the fall of 2015. She currently teaches advanced U.S. history, an elective on the two world wars, and ninth-grade civics. She also serves as the Evans Dorm Head and an assistant coach for girls’ crew. In her free time, Jessie loves to play along while watching Jeopardy, read, cook, do crossword puzzles, and travel.
