On Tuesday, the team pulled off a big 12-11 win over O’Connell.
The teams battled back and forth throughout the game: the Maroon were down by a score of 6-7 at the half and with 5:08 on the clock the two teams were tied up at 11 goals apiece. Episcopal controlled an important draw, and they were able to maintain possession and run minutes off the clock waiting for the opportunity to look for a good shot on cage with little time left for O’Connell to answer back. With 1:00 left in the game, Dymin Gerow '20 found the back of the net to put the Maroon up by one. O’Connell won the next draw by carrying the ball down to their attacking end of the field, and an Episcopal foul put O’Connell on the 8-meter line with an opportunity to tie the game back up. Neely Holt '20 had a big defensive play to block the final shot, and the Maroon celebrated their first win of the season.
