Girls Varsity Hoops Falls in Bullis Tourney Opener
Scrambling after the norovirus annihilated almost half our team, Episcopal took the floor on Friday afternoon against an unfamiliar Pennsylvania foe.
In the first half, the squad's defensive doggedness greatly disrupted the efforts of the Hill School. On the offensive end, however, it took the team three quarters to find any fluidity. EHS found themselves down as much as ten points in the third stanza, but utilized excellent ball movement and key offensive rebounds from senior LB Campagna to stage an exciting comeback in the fourth.
The Maroon pulled within one point with a minute left to play after Maya Goree sank two unanswered buckets, but a missed defensive rotation and eventual foul trouble proved insurmountable. The Hill School went on to win by a final score of 53-47.
